Tom Anton

…Yoga philosophy in the 90s and eventually took his first studio class in 2010. He completed his first 200 hours in Hatha Yoga at Anuttara Yoga in Deerfield Beach, Florida in December of 2013. In 2016 received an additional 200 hour certification in Anuttara Raja Yoga. He most recently studied trauma informed yoga with Kintla Stryker in East Lansing, Michigan. Tom cofounded East Lansing Hot Yoga and Mt Pleasant Hot Yoga, and is currently creating Yoga North, a yoga studio, B&B, and retreat center located near Traverse City, Michigan.

Tom’s passion for yoga is reflected in his teaching style. He teaches an alignment based style in the lineage of Bishnu Ghosh, Krishnamacharya, BKS Iyengar, and Patabi Jois. Tom strives to make his classes safe, accessible, and fun! He delivers clear, concise, and simple instruction while simultaneously giving his students room to explore their personal practice.

Tom believes yoga is a sacred, ancient science for human well being that offers immeasurable and often unforeseen benefits to anyone who takes up the practice in earnest. He encourages all his students to reach for their limitless potential.
