We highly recommend pre-registering for classes. There is an app available for your phone (Mindbody Connect) that allows for easy booking and cancellations and syncs automatically with your studio account and packages. Use the same email you gave us on your waiver for the app.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the class you registered for as we do start letting the reserved spots go 10 minutes before class. If you are running behind, call the studio and we will keep your spot! On the same note, classes start on time and we do lock the door so just be sure to get ahold of us if you are running late.

Lower Heat Classes (90-95 degrees)
Warming Up to Hot Yoga
Intended as our beginner class, this lower-heat, slower-paced, gentler class will equip you with an introduction to yoga breath (pranayama) and movement. Because of its lower heat and more instructive approach, this class is also well suited for injured athletes, students who have difficulty adjusting to the high heat, and even children accompanied by parents.
Candlelight Yin + Restorative Yoga
Restore balance to your body and mind with this calm, slow-paced class designed to help you release the stress of the day. This class is done almost exclusively flat on the mat, with a few seated postures. Each posture is held for upwards of 8 controlled, intentional breathes. This practice takes place in a lower heat room with only candlelight. This class prepares where you can unwind and release from your day and be ready to take on the week.
Yoga for 12-Step of Recovery
Y12SR (Yoga of 12 Step Recovery) is safe, open and sacred space that welcomes anyone who is dealing with any addiction or trauma. This class consists of a 12-step topic/discussion, followed by a themed yoga and barre fusion practice.
A combination of High Intensity Interval Training and yoga, this class focuses on building strength, cardiovascular endurance, calorie burn, and increased mobility. Participants can expect a dynamic yoga-based warm up, followed by alternating HIIT circuits and active-recovery yoga sequences. While definitely challenging, this class is accessible and adaptable to all levels of strength and fitness.
Spartan Power Fusion
50/50 yoga fusion class in the hot room, focused on the joy of yoga poses and sequences combined with building the muscular strength necessary to perform such challenging yoga asanas as plank, the Warriors, chaturanga, and inversions. Expect to get lost in a dynamic mix of yoga, plyometrics, body-weight resistance exercises, whatever our teachers come up with to sculpt you and help you find your true inner strength! We fused a few ideas of our and yours to create a dynamic class that loosens all the traditional boundaries around your yoga practice.
This class will kick ALL of your fitness goals into high gear. Kettlebells, with their “cannonball with a handle” weight displacement place a unique physical and metabolic demand on the body that results in full body integration, unbeatable core stabilization and amazing fat burning. This low temperature class is set up in either a circuit or complex designed to incorporate all 7 basic human movement patterns. Your muscles, mind, and nervous system will be awake and recharged after this class. The strength you build here transfers to real life: carrying the groceries, picking up kids and pets, running faster, jumping higher, holding yoga poses, and pretty much ANY way you want to move your body. Kettlebells ranging from 10 to 105 pounds provide a scaling from beginner to advanced in the same circuit.
“Strength has a greater purpose” Pavel Tsatsouline
This is an intense workout class designed for enhancing stamina and fat burning. It is divided into 3 stages, each one 10 minutes long. Warming up, the first 10 minutes, is designed to increase the blood flow into the muscles. This is followed by 10 minutes of fitness, a mixture of static and aerobics exercise for body shaping. Finally, max out, the last 10 minutes, comprises a 4 exercise circuit of 30 seconds each, which are repeated 5 times nonstop with increasing speed every 2 minutes.
Afterwards, those who want headstand or other inversion guidance are welcome to work with Mazen, an award winning gymnast, for 15-20 minutes.
Full Heat Classes (95-104 Degrees)
This is a moving vinyasa class with a nice mix of flow and static poses. This class is about linking your breath to your own mindful movement. You can bring as much power as you like to this or back off and just go with the flow. Keep in mind, there is always freedom to flow on your own! Leaving early is always an option (just slip out when you need to.)
From slower progressive sequences, to longer holding postures, your entire body and mind are brought into balance in this intense yet focused and calming class. You will hold poses a little longer allowing you the opportunity to experience your practice with greater sensitivity and awareness. While it’s slower pace you will undoubtedly feel the burn as you build muscle, inner strength and stamina. You will be encouraged to explore all the benefits of each posture while finding your personal balance of challenge and release. A nice savasana at the end ensures you have the time and environment to finish your practice your way.
We use the term “power” as a means of allowing you the option to awaken your own personal power ever so gently or progressively – the choice is up to you! This class is a flow based class with a focus on linking conscious breath to mindful movement. Keep in mind that freedom to flow on your own is always an option in this class. This class will help you to build overall strength of mind and body as well as increase your endurance while simultaneously quieting the mind. Expect a great cardiovascular and strength-building workout.
Candlelight Slow Burn
Find yourself in another world. Candles light the room and music plays as we guide you through a “turned down version” of our slow burn class that focuses on longer holds and deeper stretches. This linking of breath with movement allows for a powerful energy building experience creating strength and flexibility through the body and deep relaxed clarity for the mind. Add this class into your yoga routine to build a reservoir of energy that our normal busy lives deplete.
Suitable for all levels. A restful, calming class including breathing, gentle flowing movements, passive and supported pose, but allowing for more challenging poses based on your practice level.Props are encouraged to allow the body to fully achieve each pose comfortably.This is a perfect beginning yoga class that is also appropriate for those working with injury, limited mobility, or who prefer a softer, gentler approach to yoga.
Don’t let the low lights, soft music, and compassionate teaching of this late-night class deceive you: you’ll work up a sweat… but less through moving asana sequences and more through deliberate, breath-focused postures intended to settle your mind as well as your body. A quiet, dark sanctuary for you, to use tonight to set you up for a wonderful tomorrow.
All Levels Vinyasa
A mindful practice of intentionally linking your breath to movement. Time will be spent early in the practice developing an intentional breath to focus on throughout the practice. We will design flows that can be kept simple on days when you want less, and could be easily modified or varied if you need an extra challenge to bring you to an edge. Keep in mind freedom to flow on your own is always welcomed. This is a class any yogi – whether you are a complete beginner, or someone who practices every day – an attend and find the connection to yourself, your breath and your physical body movement.
An All Levels type vinyasa class that welcomes every practitioner with the focus of a mindful practice of intentionally linking your breath to movement. Expect to start building heat quickly followed by flows designed to be kept simple on days when you want less and could easily be modified or varied if you need an extra challenge to take you to your edge. Leaving early is always an option (just slip out when you need to.)
Our “Detroit Original Style” Hot Vinyasa class is a invigorating to explore the freedom to flow on your own while linking your own breath to movement through a series flows led by the teacher. Expect the teacher to walk the class through a flow together a few times, then allows students to move at their own pace. Light your fire, find your edge, then melt into sweet surrender. Music is loud and upbeat. This is a class better suited for intermediate students, but beginners are welcome at every class, as long as you remember to stay in your breath, move at a pace that feels right for your body, and have fun!
Friday Night Flow
Start your weekend off on your mat with our Friday Night Flow! This class is welcome to all levels of practice. Expect a fun flowing 60 minutes of heat, sweat, awesome tunes and playful vibes to carry with your into the weekend!
Kick Your Asana!
This high powered intense class of yoga fusion intends to kick your ass! It’s cardio, it’s aerobic and anaerobic training spikes, short Vinyasa flows, fun and challenging non-traditional sequences. In short, it’s recognizable yoga postures put to an entirely different use: kicking your asana! This high-energy class promises to be one of the toughest workouts you’ve ever done… and if it’s not, you tell us and we’ll amp it up!
Wake up and supercharge your mind, body, and spirit with this invigorating Sunrise Vinyasa. Expect a gentle start, that leads to fluid movement with your breath – Heat will build fast in this class as Sun Salutations bring warmth to the body followed by a expansive movement flow and balance. Cool down is stretchy and cooling. All levels of experience are welcome!
Follow the Yogi
The teacher leads the class through his or her own morning practice, based on a traditional ashtanga yoga. The series of powerful, ancient postures supports the strength and vibrancy within. Postures may be called out in Sanskrit. This practice is always done without any music in a dim lit quiet room.

This fitness-inspired class will be sure to tone your triceps, strengthen your six-pack and kick your booty in the right way! A fusion of yoga, strength-training and cardio-inspired movement will blend in each session. Expect upbeat, inspiring music and instruction…and of course that feel-good, “left it on the mat” afterglow!
Aromatherapy Candlelight Flow
Join us for a luxurious hour that will have you floating home ready for the best sleep of your life. Through essential oil use we can enhance our yoga practice. Certain oils have uplifting or calming properties, stimulating or soothing. We will use these properties to our advantage in order to deepen and expand our yoga practice. With the combination candles, essential oils conducive to relaxation, warmth of the room, and a gentle yoga class with a bit of flow, a bit of yin, and a whole lot of love, expect to leave with only pure bliss. All levels welcome.
*Note* This instructor uses all natural massage oils during class to provide adjustments, assists, and amazing little shoulder rubs. If you do not feel comfortable being touched during class, or have any allergies/sensitivities to oils, please inform the instructor prior to the start of class.
Power Slow Burn — high heat, hi power
In this unique version of our Slow Burn practice, your entire body and mind are brought into balance in this intense, yet focused and calming class. Your instructor will encourage and offer a powerful sequence in a mindful pace and manner to challenge your edges, both mentally and physically. You will be encouraged to explore all the benefits of each posture while finding your personal balance of challenge and release. A nice savasana at the end ensures you have the time and environment to finish your practice your way.
This fully guided gentle morning flow will wake you up and send you into your day with a clear mind and focused energy. The class will still include vinyasa-style flow that will be guided at a slow to moderate pace. Expect a bit of extra stretching in either your warm up or cool down–or both!
Barre Classes (85-90 degrees)
A quick 45 minute all over body burn where we will use small movements combined with bodyweight exercises to work every major muscle group to the point of fatigue. This class may include things like plank work, Tabata rounds, work at the barre, thigh and seat work and plenty of core work! This is a fast paced class that is set to pumped up music to keep you motivated while your muscles are shaking.
Barre 60 is a full body low impact workout fusing the foundations of ballet, Pilates, and yoga. The class is fast paced and your muscles will be worked to fatigue with small controlled movements to create longer, leaner stronger muscles with minimal stress on your joints. Includes upper body work with free weights followed by intense barre work to tone the legs and seat which create long, lean muscles. Finally we end with core work and stretching. Each class is set to upbeat music and ends with a mindful cool down.
HiiT the Barre Yo
This is a fast paced class that mixes high intensity intervals with bodyweight exercises, barre work and yoga working to achieve an all over body shaking experience. Class starts out with a quick warm-up followed by a heart pumping interval round. From there we work the arms, thighs, glutes, core, and more! Get your body and mind fired up with this 60 minute workout.
Aerial Classes (only at Firefly)
Flip & Fly Fundamentals
Our Flip & Fly Fundamentals class will help you establish a solid foundation in this unique suspension system using our Gravatonics swings. It is designed to give you a secure and detailed understanding of aerial yoga fundamentals while enjoying a new perspective on the world! During this 75-minute session students will explore a practice of both elevation and grounding to increase flexibility, strength and improve structural alignment. You will also enjoy the ease of inversions in a fun and playful way. This class will leave you feeling completely relaxed and ready for bed.
Relax & Release
This is our gentle and therapeutic version of aerial yoga. The extra support of the hammock will allow the body to completely soften, surrender, and invert effortlessly. We’ll warm-up and stretch both in and out of the fabric and then work on exploring new and traditional yoga poses with your body weight partially or fully supported. Experience traction of the spine through relaxing inversions and allow yourself to deepen into some stretching using the support of the swing. This class is all about deepening and releasing, but you won’t be sweating much, if at all. Class ends with a long floating savasana at the end before we send you off completely refreshed and ready to conquer what lies ahead.
Fit & Fly
This class is split 50/50 between building both upper and lower body strength and stretching and releasing. The first half of class will be used to warmup and focus on strengthening exercises and poses using the straps (think TRX) and the hammock. We will work up a sweat and build strength that will help to support us in some of the more challenging aerial and traditional yoga poses. The last half of class is where we will stretch, release, and invert. So we build up a sweat and get our muscles to a point where they will be happy to relax, stretch, and just chill in the support of the fabric. Class ends with a long savasana in the hammock.
Kids/Prenatal Yoga – Not Heated
Momma & Buddha Baby Yoga (0-12months)
Momma & Buddha Baby Yoga is a fun and playful way for you to stretch and strengthen your body and your bond with your infant. This class provides moms the opportunity to bond with their baby through songs and play. Connect with other moms while learning baby yoga exercises which strengthen growing muscles, aid in digestion, promote better sleeping patterns as well as alleviate neck, shoulder and back pain through yoga postures. Expect simple to challenging poses while continuously interacting with your baby. Dads are welcome too! Be prepared to sweat! Ages newborn to 12months. We go with the flow – if you need to breastfeed/bottle feed/change your baby/tend to crying/babywearing – we support it all!
Little Yogi & Me (12months-5years)
Introduce your Little Yogi to the practice of yoga in an hour filled with exploration of movement, obstacle courses, games, stories, sharing circle, community building and more! You and your little yogi will also work on breathing techniques that teach them how to calm and self-regulate their bodies and minds. We encourage yogis 12 month – 5 years accompanied by a grown ups with a playful spirit!
Little Yogis (3-8years) – $8 class!
Is your little yogi ready to practice on their own? Little Yogis will learn how to focus and calm their bodies with various breathing and visualization techniques as well as improve strength, flexibility and coordination skills. Self-respect and respect for others with the practice of fun and challenging poses, partner and group poses, lots of yoga games, breathing and basic anatomy. Recommended for children ages 3 to 8 years old. Please bring a mat so your little yogi can enjoyed structured yoga time.
Tween Yogis (Ages 9-12) – $8 class!
Tweens have a busy life and it is easy to feel overloaded!! Let them come learn how to un-plug with yoga. Learn how to move your body in yoga poses, build strength and flexibility, connect with breath, meditation, explore creative self- expression, journal and relax. Come learn how to recharge and take time for your tween self!
Prenatal Yoga (all trimesters welcome!)
This flow-style class led by a certified prenatal/postnatal yoga instructor, offers a space for pregnant women to engage in safe physical movement and to reduce mental stress & anxiety. This class is appropriate for all levels, whether this is their first yoga class or if they are experienced yogis. Through the flow of traditional yoga asana, along with supported movement with the help of blocks, blankets & bolsters, and gentle stretching, students will experience developed core strength, focused breath & deep relaxation. The option is available to kick things up or down a notch as necessary. This class is not heated. Expect to a brief introduction at the beginning of practice to go over where each student is at in their pregnancy. Spinning Babies® Parent Class
“Easier birth with fetal positioning”
Your baby’s position in your pelvis is not random, they will fit into the space that is available. It is more than just thinking of the size of the baby or the pelvis. Your anatomy can be flexible, and both the uterus and the pelvis can create more room for the baby when the muscles and other soft tissues are balanced. This creates ease and comfort during pregnancy and labor. During this class, you will learn how your pelvic ligaments affect labor and gain the knowledge you need to create space in your pelvis for baby to descend. We will discuss what can be done during pregnancy for comfort and preparation for labor as well as what positions can be done during labor to help labor progress. This class includes lecture, hands-on demonstrations, and practice of balancing techniques. This is a three-hour class and we require a support person to attend with you as many of the exercises need an extra set of hands.
