Christine Tolfree

Christine has been teaching yoga and fitness classes throughout the community for nearly 15 years. She is a lifelong mid-Michigan resident and earned both undergraduate and master’s degrees from Michigan State University. Christine has always been physically active, and it was during her graduate studies in exercise physiology that she discovered yoga. Having begun practicing with primary physical motives, she soon discovered a greater sense of peace that carries over from the mat to daily life. The ensuing commitment, devotion and love for yoga culminated in her becoming certified to teach yoga , completing several teacher trainings and workshops. Through asana and breath work, Christine emphasizes honoring the body for where it is in the present moment and encourages students to be mentally and physically stronger and more flexible, and better at balancing mental and emotional issues.
